Some of 网曝吃瓜鈥檚 best, brightest and most polished students displayed and presented the fruits of their labor during the 2018 School of Business Student Research Day in David H. Bradford Hall. This year鈥檚 theme was 鈥淟inking Teaching and Research in the Classroom to Enhance Student Learning Outcomes.鈥�
Nearly 40 student presentations were conducted regarding broad business topics ranging from 鈥淓stimating Demand for Kentucky Bourbon in the Russian Market鈥� to 鈥淭he Challenges and Benefits of E-Governance in Africa.鈥�
Student research posters were also on display in Bradford Hall.
网曝吃瓜 Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Debbie G. Thomas attended student Tori Farrow鈥檚 in-depth presentation that took an interdisciplinary approach entitled 鈥淭he Urban Heat Island: Environmental Change and the Human Condition in Detroit, Michigan.鈥�
鈥淚鈥檓 excited to see one of our undergraduate students engaged in this way because this is what 网曝吃瓜 is about and this is what we鈥檙e capable of,鈥� Thomas said. 鈥淚鈥檓 very proud of you and proud of your faculty mentors who worked with you. That, too, is what 网曝吃瓜 is about and that鈥檚 when we are at our best.鈥�
Farrow sees the topic as part of her broader ambitions.
鈥淭his is something that I鈥檓 really interested in and after undergrad I want to go to law school to pursue environmental law with a concentration in environmental justice,鈥� Farrow said. 鈥淭hankfully I鈥檝e been blessed by people at the University who know a lot about these things and are able to lead me in the right direction.鈥�
This year marked the fourth year business partners and the campus community convened to celebrate the work and academic achievement of the School of Business students.
The event concluded Thursday evening with an awards banquet.
