Two ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï alumni were recently inducted into the Frankfort Independent Schools (FIS) hall of fame for the classes of 2020 and 2021. 

 

Henry Kemp, who had a long and distinguished career teaching industrial education at ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï and Prairie View A&M, was inducted into the class of 2020. Kemp was also a beloved teacher and coach at Mayo-Underwood, teaching shop, coaching football and basketball, directing the Glee Club and building sets for the school’s drama classes. 

 

William Washington, also a class of 2020 inductee, played basketball at ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï and later overseas. Washington was one of the most legendary basketball players and was inducted into the Frankfort High School athletics hall of fame. Following his playing career, he had a distinguished teaching and coaching career in Virginia.
