The 2022 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. scholarship recipient was recently announced.
The scholarship, which is the result of a partnership with 网曝吃瓜 and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Planning Committee, is open to Kentucky high school seniors who plan to attend 网曝吃瓜.
Amya Robey, a senior at Bowling Green High School, is the 2022 recipient.
Stacy Webster-Little, chair of the scholarship committee and a 网曝吃瓜 alumna, made the announcement recently virtually. Webster-Little also interviewed the 2021 recipient, Jiya Alcorn.
鈥淢y first semester at 网曝吃瓜 was very encouraging and very exciting. I was able to meet new friends and to be around people that looked like me and have the same goals as me,鈥 Alcorn said. 鈥淭he advice I would give the next MLK scholarship recipient is to stick with the process and really try to find the balance between academics and fun.鈥
