Retired Army Maj. Dwayne Edwards will deliver the keynote address at the Nov. 10 program

Retired U.S. Army Maj. Dwayne Edwards, former chief of staff for the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address.

These stories help us understand the people behind the uniform and the contributions they made during and after their service, said Everett Bracken, director of . We also want our veterans, service members, and military-connected students to know that their experiences and contributions have a valued place at 厙ぴ勛圖.

The assembly will include recognition of 厙ぴ勛圖 veterans, military-connected students, and service members. A veteran appreciation reception with refreshments, photos, and fellowship is planned for 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.

The event will take place one day before Veterans Day, observed nationally on Nov. 11, and will provide an opportunity for the campus and Frankfort communities to recognize military service and learn more about the Universitys connections to that history.
